How to Edit Course Preferences on the CENTAC Portal?
Candidates must log in to their CENTAC dashboard and revise their choices before the deadline. The steps are straightforward and can be completed in a few minutes.
- Visit the official CENTAC portal at centacpuducherry.in.
- Click on the UG NEET 2026 candidate login link.
- Enter your application number and password to sign in.
- Open the course preference section on your dashboard.
- Add, drop or reorder your course and college choices.
- Save the final list and download the confirmation page.
What Happens After the Preference Window Closes?
Once the edit window shuts at 1 PM on September 2, choices will be frozen. CENTAC will process Round 1 seat allotment based on merit rank, category and locked preferences. The allotment result will be uploaded to the candidate dashboard.
Allotted candidates will then have to pay the required fee and report to the designated college within the reporting window. Non-reporting or non-payment will lead to cancellation of the allotted seat.
Preferences locked on the dashboard directly decide the seat you are considered for. A high rank alone is not enough if your course order does not reflect what you actually want to study.
Action Plan for Candidates
