NTA to Release CUET UG 2026 Answer Key Soon; Check How to Download

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced that the Common University Entrance Test Undergraduate (CUET UG) 2026 provisional answer key will be released soon on the official portal at cuet.nta.nic.in. The notice was issued through the official NTA website on June 8, 2026. The agency will also release the recorded responses and question papers attempted by candidates.

Candidates who are dissatisfied with any answer in the provisional key may raise an objection during a short challenge window. A non-refundable processing charge of Rs 200 per question will apply. Payment can be made through online modes such as net banking, debit card, credit card, or UPI. The objection window is expected to remain open for two to four days from the release date.

The CUET UG 2026 examination concluded on June 7, 2026. Around 15.68 lakh candidates appeared for the test across the country. The result will be declared after the final answer key is prepared based on the objections received and reviewed by subject experts.

How to Download the CUET UG 2026 Answer Key?

The provisional answer key will be hosted on the candidate login page. Students will need their application number and date of birth to access the file. The steps are listed below.

1. Visit the official CUET portal at cuet.nta.nic.in.
2. Click on the link for the CUET UG 2026 provisional answer key.
3. Enter your application number, date of birth, and the security code.
4. The answer key, question paper, and recorded response will appear on screen.
5. Download the file and save a copy for future reference.

How to Raise an Objection Against the Answer Key?

Candidates may flag any answer they believe is incorrect during the challenge window. Each challenge must be supported by valid proof or reference material. Objections raised after the deadline will not be accepted by NTA.

1. Log in to the candidate portal using your application credentials.
2. Click on the link to challenge the provisional answer key.
3. Select the question ID you wish to challenge.
4. Upload supporting documents in the prescribed format.
5. Pay Rs 200 per challenged question through the available online modes.

The fee is a processing charge and is not refunded even if the challenge is accepted. Experts will review every objection before issuing the final answer key.

What Happens After the Final Answer Key?

The final answer key is prepared after expert review of all objections received. NTA will then calculate scores based on the final key and the marking scheme. The CUET UG 2026 result is expected in the first week of July 2026. Scores will be used by central, state, deemed, and private universities for undergraduate admissions.
