DOMS IIT Madras will open online applications for the Executive MBA 2027 batch on September 6, 2026. The selection process runs November 6 to 8, 2026, with results in December and classes starting January 2027.
The Department of Management Studies (DOMS), Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IIT Madras) will open online applications for its Executive Master of Business Administration (EMBA) 2027 batch on September 6, 2026. Interested working professionals can apply through the official EMBA portal at doms.iitm.ac.in/emba.
The EMBA is a 24-month programme designed for mid-career working professionals. Classes are held in person on alternate weekends at the IIT Madras campus in Chennai. The 2027 batch will begin coursework in January 2027.

Who Is Eligible to Apply?
Applicants must hold a Bachelor's degree in any discipline with 60 percent marks or above from a recognised institute. In addition, candidates must have a minimum of three years of full-time work experience after their undergraduate degree.
Seats are also reserved for company-sponsored candidates. Sponsored applicants must submit a sponsorship letter from their employer in the format prescribed on the official EMBA page.
DOMS IIT Madras EMBA Selection Process
Shortlisted applicants will attend the selection process at the IIT Madras campus from November 6 to 8, 2026. The process has two components held on campus.
- Written Aptitude Test: Covers Business Aptitude, Logical Reasoning, Quantitative Ability, and Verbal Ability.
- Personal Interview: Conducted by the DOMS faculty panel on campus.
DOMS IIT Madras EMBA Fee Structure
The total programme fee is Rs 17 lakh, payable across four semesters. Candidates admitted to the 2027 batch will pay Rs 4.25 lakh per semester. The fee does not include the optional International Learning Programme.
