Delhi Technological University (DTU) has extended its PhD admission deadline. The August 2026 session now accepts applications till June 14, 2026. Candidates can apply at the official portal saarthi.dtu.ac.in. The entrance test is scheduled for July 2 and 3, 2026. Interviews will follow from July 8 to 10, 2026.
The PhD programme is open to candidates from multiple disciplines. These include Engineering, Technology, Sciences, Humanities, Management, Design, and Social Science. Aspirants must register on the DTU admission portal before the new deadline.

Who Is Eligible to Apply?
Applicants must hold a Master's degree in a relevant discipline. The qualifying programme can be in Engineering, Technology, or Sciences. It can also be in Humanities, Management, Design, or Social Science. A minimum aggregate of 55 percent marks or equivalent CGPA is required.
SC, ST, OBC-NCL, EWS, and differently-abled candidates get a 5 percent relaxation. This relaxation applies to the qualifying degree marks for eligibility.

How Will Candidates Be Selected?
The selection happens in two stages: entrance test and interview. The written test will be held on July 2 and 3, 2026. Candidates need at least 50 percent marks in the entrance test. Reserved category candidates need 45 percent to qualify.
Shortlisted candidates appear for the interview from July 8 to 10, 2026. Each candidate must bring a PowerPoint presentation of 7 to 8 slides. The presentation must cover the candidate's proposed research topic of interest.
