New Delhi: Delhi University will publish two separate merit lists for admission to its 13,500 postgraduate seats across 77 postgraduate programmes. One of these merit lists will be the one based on the combined CUET-PG 2023 results of students from DU and other universities.

However, the second merit will be released only for Du students. The University has declared that CUET-PG Result score will be used this year to determine admission to its postgraduate programmes.

For each of the courses, a distinct merit list will be used. This time, the university has chosen to admit students based on their performance on the National Testing Agency's (NTA) Common University Entrance Test.

At University of Delhi (DU), there are approximately 13,500 postgraduate seats available in the 77 postgraduate degrees offered by 58 departments. Additionally included are the NCWEB (Non-Collegiate Women's Education Board) seats.

The Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS PG) will be used to determine admission to all postgraduate programmes. Students must use this mechanism to register themselves. CSAS-PG will begin upon NTA's announcement of the outcome.

The seat allocation mechanism will use distinct lists for each programme. Merit lists will be divided into two categories. The common merit list will be presented first. This list will include both graduates from Delhi University and those who received their degrees from other institutions.

Only Delhi University students will be listed on the merit list for the second category. Seats will be allocated to the students in that order depending on the number of seats available and their order of highest choice on the program-based merit list.

The registration and admissions process for admission to Delhi University's postgraduate programmes has not yet begun, despite the fact that registration for undergraduate courses at DU began on June 14 through the CSAS portal. Registration for PG courses will probably begin after the second week of July 2023.
