Final Semester Exams for UG / PG Students to be held Soon, confirms AP Govt

As per the latest update, the Andhra Pradesh Government will soon take a final decision to hold the final semester exams for UG / PG students in the state.

The announcement was made by Minister of State for Education, Adimulapu Suresh, during a video conference with the Vice-Chancellors of State-based Universities.

The meeting was held at the office of the Higher Education Council in Mangalagiri to discuss the challenges and come up with solutions for the organization of semester exams in the midst of the ongoing crisis of COVID-19.

Andhra CM to take Final Decision

During the closing remarks of the conference, Minister of State for Education, Adimulapu Suresh, stated that the Department of Education had taken note of all the suggestions shared by the VCs.

These suggestions will be presented to the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, who will then take the final decision on holding the college and university level exams in the state.

AP SSC Exam, Inter Advanced Supplementary Exams Cancelled

In line with its earlier decision, the Andhra Pradesh Government also announced the cancellation of AP SSC Exam 2020 which was slated to commence from July 10, 2020.

The decision was taken keeping in mind the larger public safety and to minimize the risk of students contracting the Coronavirus while appearing for the examination.

Class 10 students will now be graded based on the general merit for which the BSEAP will soon issue fresh guidelines.

Approximately 6 lakh students were due to appear for the examination starting in July 2020.

AP Government also canceled AP Inter Supply Exam 2020 in addition to the SSC Exam.

The Minister of Education has taken a twitter to confirm that all students who have not completed the 1st and 2nd year Intermediate Exams will instead be promoted to the next grade without holding the IPASE.
