Dr. Ambedkar Scholarship, also known as Dr. Ambedkar Medhavi Chhatar Sanshodhit Yojna is an initiative of the Government of Haryana to provide financial assistance to students belonging to Scheduled Castes & Backward Classes. the scholarship is offered for the complete duration of the course.
The scholarship was launched in 2009-10 with the aim to function as a financial mediator between a student and his studies. Through this scholarship, a student from Schedule Castes and Backward Classes will be able to be considered for a grant of INR 8,000 to INR 12,000 depending on his level of studies.
Only permanent resident students of Haryana are considered for this scholarship. Also, the family income of such Schedule Castes and Backward Classes students should be less than INR 4,00,000.
Top Courses:
A candidate coming from an urban area should have obtained 70% in matriculation, 75% in 10+2 and 65% in Graduation. Whereas candidates from Rural areas must have obtained 60% in matriculation, 70% in 10+2 and 60% in Graduation.
The objective of the Dr. Ambedkar Scholarship is to offer financial assistance to students belonging to Schedule Castes and Backward Classes so that no student is left behind in educational qualifications because of economic inequality.

A candidate must meet the following eligibility criteria to be considered eligible for the grant of financial aid under Dr. Ambedkar Medhavi Chhatar Sanshodhit Yojna

In order to be considered for the scholarship, the candidate must apply under the given scholarship scheme as per his/her level of education. The application process has been made online for the ease of the students, making the process faster and easier. Candidates will have to apply via the Welfare of Scheduled Castes & Backward Classes Department website. Following is the step-by-step process to apply for the scholarship.
- Candidates must visit the official website as per the notification.
- Click on Register now which will be highlighted on the website.

- A login ID and Password will be generated which will be sent to you on your email ID.
