TCS NQT Exam Preparation

Questions of Numerical Ability are from algebra, geometry, trigonometry and discrete mathematics, arithmetic, etc. Questions of Verbal Reasoning are basically Basic Grammar. TCS NQT Round 1

The difficulty level of Round 1 is from medium to high. The round consists of questions related to Verbal Ability, Numerical Ability and Reasoning Ability. Mentioned below are the details for the same:

  • Verbal Ability: Verbal Ability has topics like Selecting words, Grammar, Cloze test, Synonyms and Antonyms, Reading Comprehension, Error Identification, etc.
  • Numerical Ability: This section has topics like P&C, Number, LCM, HCF, Percentages, Allegations and Mixtures, Work and Time, Speed Time and Distance, Ratios, Proportion, Reasoning, Probability, etc.
  • Reasoning Ability: Reasoning includes topics like Meaningful Word Creation, Number Series, Blood Relations, Coding-Decoding, Ages, Data Sufficiency, etc.

TCS NQT Round 2

The difficulty level of round 2 is high and has 2 sections. Round 2 is of 60 minutes with 10 questions in Programming Logic and Hands-on Coding. A brief about the same is as follows:

  • Programming Logic: Programming Logic covers the topics like Variables and Registers, Linked List, Trees, Graphs, Loops, Command Line Arguments, Stacks and Queue, etc.
  • Hands-on Coding: This section has 2 questions out of which students question 1 needs to be solved in 15 minutes and question 2 in 30 minutes. To clear this section, you need to be handy with any programming language listed below:
