Once the CAP round finishes, the Maharashtra CET Cell releases the cutoff. However, the cutoff for DSE 2021 is yet to be released.
Maharashtra DSE Admission 2021: Merit List
The Maharashtra CET Cell will release the DSE merit list soon. Candidates whose names are featured on the merit list are required to attend the CAP counselling process.
How is the merit list prepared?
The merit list of the Maharashtra DSE Admission 2021 is prepared based on the marks secured by the candidates either in diploma or equivalent qualifying degree examination. Candidates are provided with a merit number that will be featured on the merit list.
Initially, a provisional merit list will be released by the admission authority and if any candidates finds any discrepancies in the merit list or if the qualifying marks have been edited, then they're eligible to raise objections. Post verifying the authority will release the final merit list.
Tie Breaking Policy
In cases where two or more candidates have the same qualifying marks and same merit number, the admission committee will decide the final merit of the candidates by following the Tie Breaking Policy.
- Candidates who have a higher overall percentage in SSC Exam
- Candidates with a higher percentage in maths exam at SSC Level
- Candidates who passed the science exam with higher percentage at SSC Level.
- Candidates who obtained a higher percentage in the English Exam at SSC Level.
Maharashtra DSE Admission 2021: Registration
Candidates interested in taking admission to the 2nd year of B.E./ B.Tech through the Maharashtra DSE Admission 2021 will have to initially register online for the CAP process. Only the registered candidates will be eligible to attend the CAP counselling. Maharashtra DSE Admission 2021: Reservation Policy
There is a certain seat reservation granted to the candidates from the minority class according to the Maharashtra government. However, only the reserved candidates who have a domicile of Maharashtra are only eligible for the reservation policy.

Maharashtra DSE Admission CAP 2021 Counselling Process
Candidates will be admitted to the second year B.E/ B.Tech through Maharashtra DSE Admission 2021 will be done through the Common Admission Process (CAP) Counselling. Candidates whose names are featured on the merit list are required to attend the CAP process in order to get allotted with admission seats.
Based on the merit number allotted to the candidates in the merit list, the seat allotment will be done. The Maharashtra DSE Admission 2021 CAP Counselling will go through various stages. It is compulsory for all the candidates to appear in all the stages of the CAP process for admission.
The stage by stage process for Maharashtra DSE Admission 2021 CAP process has been discussed below:
Stage 1: Registration & Fee Payment
Initially the candidates are required to register for the Maharashtra DSE Admission 2021 by filling the application form online and paying the application fee to complete the registration process.
Stage 2: Document Verification Process
Once the registration concludes, the CET Cell will release the details regarding the facilitation centers on the official website. All the registered candidates can visit the respective centers for document verification. It is mandatory for all the candidates to verify their documents before the deadline. Post this procedure, candidates will receive a receipt which should be carried by them during the time of CAP process.
Stage 3: Release of Provisional Merit List, Grievance Submission, and Final Merit List
Now, the admission authority will release the provisional merit list for all the qualifying candidates on the official website. Candidates also raise objections if there are any errors in the exam score. After verifying the grievances, the final merit list will be released and no changes will be done once the final merit list is released.
Stage 4: Category Wise Seat Matrix Display for Respective CAP Rounds
In stage 4, the admission authority will release the category wise seat matrix before each CAP process. The seat matrix will constitute the courses & seat intake for all the categories of the candidates, which will be useful to the candidates to fill the online option form in the next stage.
Stage 5: Online Option Form Filling & Confirmation
Candidates are required to fill the online option form for the choice of courses & colleges in which they're willing to get admitted through the Maharashtra DSE Admission 2021. The final seat allotment will be done based on the options filled by the candidates.
Candidates are eligible to make up to 300 choices and it is also necessary for all the candidates to submit their choices in the order of priority (first priority college at 1st position and so on). Before the deadline, the candidates are required to submit their option form or it will be automatically submitted according to the last details filled.
Stage 6: CAP Rounds
- According to the options filled through the CAP round 1, candidates will be allotted seats as per the first priority, which will be frozen. Such candidates are required to visit the ARC to accept their seats after which they won't be able to participate in the future rounds.
- Candidates who have not been allotted the seat according to their first preference but are still satisfied with the allotment will have to freeze their seats and visit the ARC for seat acceptance.
- Candidates who didn't get allotted seats as per their first preference and those who have accepted the seats at ARC will be allowed to attend the further CAP rounds for the betterment of seats.

Stage 7: Release of Provisional Allotment
Post the CAP rounds, the provisional seat allotment will be displayed on the official website. The provisional allotment will display the institute & course that has been allotted to the respective candidate.
Stage 8: Report to the Institute & Seat Acceptance
Candidates who have been allotted seats are required to visit the ARC and accept their seats. Only after accepting the seats at ARC, the candidates will be able to report to the respective institutes for further admission.
Stage 9: Reporting to the Institute & Fee Payment
Finally, the candidates will have to report to the allotted institute and pay the requisite admission fee to complete their admission process.
