GBPUAT postpones PG Entrance Exams 2020; Entrances to now be held in offline mode

As per a recent announcement, the PG Entrance Exam 2020 at Govind Ballabh Pant University of Agriculture and Technology, Pantnagar will now be held in exam centers i.e. Offline mode. 

Earlier, GBPUAT Entrance Exam was scheduled to be held on September 26 and 27, 2020 respectively, which is now canceled. Many of the candidates faced technical errors during the Remote Proctored Test (RPT) which was previously conducted by the University. 

Aspirants who were supposed to write the entrance exams for postgraduate courses in the Govind Ballabh Pant University of Agriculture and Technology, Pantnagar, will now take up the entrance exams in offline mode at the allotted exam centers.

The official notification was posted by G.B. Pant University regarding the cancellation of the Entrance Exam. 

The Notification states that Aspirants should have to visit the exam centre to take up the Pantnagar University Entrance Exam for Postgraduate (PG) and Ph.D. courses. Admit cards will be issued as soon as a new date is fixed.

Every year, the admission in Pantnagar University for the undergraduate courses is based on merit obtained by the students in Class XII from a recognized board, and selection is done on the basis of qualifying entrance exams. 

This year the university pronounced that the entrance exam would be conducted only for PG and Ph.D. courses and not for the undergraduate courses due to the ongoing of the COVID-19 pandemic. 

Moreover, the entrance exam for MCA and Ph.D. courses were canceled previously. Now the PG and Ph.D. aspirants will take up the entrance exams in the exam centers in offline mode since aspirants who wrote the Remote Proctored Test (RPT) claimed that they faced server errors and connectivity issues during the test. 

The university will issue the new admit cards as soon as a new date is fixed for the Pantnagar University Entrance Exam. Meanwhile, aspirants seeking admission in PG and Ph.D. courses can apply online and write the entrance exams in offline mode.
