Goa Directorate of Education has decided to involve students in a private internship initiative that will give students an opportunity to work from home.
In a circular released on July 9, 2020, Goa Director of Education Vandana Rao asked all the schools to enroll students in Internshala, a private internship platform.

The circular released read, "There are over four million students and one-lakh plus companies that use the platform regularly. After successful completion of the listed internship opportunities on Internshala portal, students can earn a small stipend and a certificate of merit."

The programme will be offered under the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) scheme named "Samagra Shiksha".
The circular also added that the students will get a glimpse of the corporate world from the comfort of their homes.
The state government on the other hand has also deferred the academic year on account of increasing COVID-19 cases.
