ICSE & ISC 2020 Result (Announced): Check at results.cisce.org/

ICSE and ISC board exam, conducted by the council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) has declared Class X and XII result on July 10, 2020, at 3 pm. Class 10 and 12 students who appeared for the board exams this year can check their subject wise scores and qualification status online at https://results.cisce.org/ by entering their course level (ICSE/ISC), UID, and an Index number. 

Students who are not satisfied with their results and think some errors might have occurred in marks calculation can apply for recheck online by paying the required fee from July 10, 2020, to July 16, 2020. CISCE has canceled all pending exams this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic which resulted in sudden enforcement of nationwide lockdown following the cancellation of CBSE exams. Check  ICSE Board 2020

• CICSE will not declare any merit list this year in view of “exceptional circumstances” says, CISCE Chief Executive and Secretary Gerry Arathoon.

• The remaining board exams were scheduled to be conducted after lockdown is lifted between July 1 to July 14, 2020 (now canceled). 

• This year 1,75,299 students appeared for ICSE and around 80,000 for ISC exams. The pass percentage of both the exams are quite high at 99.33% for ICSE and 96.84% for ISC. 

• CISCE offers 60 subjects to ISCE (class 10) students and 49 subjects to ISC (class 12) students. Over 2000 ICSE and 1000 ISC schools from all over India are affiliated with this board. 

• The council told the Supreme Court that they would now use a formula that would be uploaded on their website to come up with the result of the canceled examinations. 

• The council in an official notice also stated that if the situation in the near future is conducive, students might get an option to write all or any remaining papers.

How to Calculate ICSE and ISC Marks in Percentage?

Raw scores are converted to percentages in order to understand the academic performance of a student. Here’s how you can calculate your board marks in percentage:

Internal Assessement Scheme for ICSE & ISC 2020

• Average of a candidate’s best three papers marks in the board exams.
• Subject internal assessment (for 10^th class)/ Subject project and practical work.
• Percentage subject internal assessment (For 12^th / 10^th class) or Percentage subject Project and Practical Work (For class 12^th )

ISC 2020 percentage calculation: 

To calculate the ISC Result percentage, a similar pattern would be followed. The subjects such as Sociology, Geography, Psychology, Biology, Business Studies, and Home Science would not be included as they ere canceled by the board. For subjects like Sociology, Geography, Psychology, Biology, and Home Science, the board marks are out of 70, and hence the weightage for board marks should be 0.7. For Business Studies subject, the board marks are out of 80, and hence the weightage for board marks should be 0.8.

Note: Those candidates who appeared in three subjects, take the best two, and for candidates who appear for two subjects, take the better one. For the candidates who appeared in only one subject can be:

The Formula for calculation of the final marks for Elective English:

Subject Final Marks = Average Percentage score obtained in English Language (Paper 1) & Literature in English (Paper 2).

Subject Final Marks = Average Percentage score obtained in the other art papers that candidate appeared in the board examination.

Note: Pass marks for ICSE are 33% and for ISC it is 40%.

CISCE Recheck and Revaluation 2020

ICSE allows students to apply for revaluation of their marks in case they are not completely satisfied with the scores awarded by the board. A competent person who has been appointed by the Chief Executive and Secretary of the Council will carry out the recheck process.

• Requests for revaluation of marks can be submitted to the ICSE or ISC council online only in the current year of examination. 

• The charge for recheck is INR 1000 per subject. In case of an increase in marks, a refund will be made in the same method of original payment. 

• The online recheck portal will be live only for a period of 7 days from the date of the result declaration. 

• The rechecking process will take certain parameters into consideration such as if all answers have been marked, error in totaling marks, and if sheets attached to the answer booklet as mentioned by the candidate are correct. 

• The board will not disclose the answer scripts to students or organizations for inspection. 

• Communications regarding the revision of marks will be sent to the head of the school or candidate online. 

How to Apply for Recheck?

Listed below are the steps one must follow if they want their papers to be rechecked. 

• Candidates must register at https://careers.cisce.org/eCareersPublicClient/Web using email address and password.

• After completing registration, they can login to the portal. 

• Select the “request recheck” option. 

• Click on the “add new request” option on top right. Read the terms and conditions carefully and click on the next button. 

• Enter your unique id and index number. 

• Select the subjects in which you want to apply for recheck. The total amount will be displayed. 

• In the payment gateway portal, complete the payment, and submit your request. 

• Candidates cannot apply for recheck more than once.
