Gurugram University Open Counselling 2026 for BTech and MCA on September 8; Check Last Date to Apply

The Gurugram University (GU) has announced the open counselling round for 2026 admissions. The schedule is available on the official portal at gurugramuniversityadm.samarth.edu.in. It will fill vacant seats in four technical programmes.

Candidates who missed earlier admission rounds can now apply through the portal. The counselling covers BTech, BTech LEET, MCA and Integrated MCA courses.

Programmes Covered Under the Open Counselling

The round covers four technical programmes at GU. Each programme has a separate merit list based on the qualifying examination.

• BTech (First Year): Four-year Bachelor of Technology programme after Class 12.
• BTech Lateral Entry: Direct second year admission for diploma holders.
• MCA (Two-year): Postgraduate Master of Computer Applications programme.
• Integrated MCA (Five-year): Combined UG and PG programme after Class 12.

Who Is Eligible for the Open Counselling Round?

Eligibility for the open counselling depends on the programme chosen. Each course sets its own academic and entrance requirements.

• BTech: Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics from a recognised board.
• BTech LEET: Three-year Diploma in Engineering or a BSc degree.
• MCA: Bachelor degree with Mathematics at 10+2 or graduation level.
• Integrated MCA: Class 12 with Mathematics from a recognised board.

Candidates must meet the minimum aggregate marks fixed by GU. Category-wise relaxation applies as per Haryana state government rules.

The application process is fully online and requires document uploads. Candidates should keep their credentials and files ready before starting.

2. Register with your name, email address and active mobile number.
3. Fill in personal, academic and category details in the form.
4. Upload scanned documents and a passport size photograph in the prescribed format.
5. Pay the application fee online through the payment gateway.
6. Submit the form and download the confirmation page for records.

Documents Required at the Counselling Venue

Applicants must carry original documents with two sets of self-attested photocopies. The university verifies each document before final seat allotment.

• Class 10 and Class 12 mark sheets and certificates
• Qualifying degree mark sheets for MCA and BTech LEET candidates
• Valid entrance test scorecard, wherever applicable
• Category certificate from a competent authority for reserved candidates
• Haryana domicile certificate for state resident applicants
• Aadhaar card and recent passport size photographs
• Character certificate from the last institution attended
