Guwahati University has invited online applications for the first semester students for hostel accommodation in various UG and PG programs.
According to the latest updates, Guwahati University is inviting students who have recently taken admission in the several undergraduate and postgraduate programs offered by the varsity.
It was also notified that the arrangements have been already made according to the COVID-19 protocols issued by the ministry. One of the GU authorities stated that its high time to reopen all the 23 hostels as the state has started resuming its original position post the pandemic covid-19 crisis.
As the hostels were shut down due to the outbreak of COVID-19 pandemic and the imposition of lockdown across the country, the students faced a lot of difficulties to continue their studies.
Currently, the State Ministry has not yet taken any decision regarding the reopening and commencing of the Guwahati University and other associated colleges.
GU authority has raised their concern over education during this pandemic. The students have been facing problems with internet connectivity to continue their online classes that are being conducted by educational institutions.
Meanwhile, the absence of the public and private hostels across the state has been affecting the students who had been attending the regular classes at the educational institutions across the state.
