Haryana Govt Announces HTET 2020 Exam Dates; Check Schedule Here

The government of Haryana and Haryana Board of Secondary Education, (BSEH) has announced the dates for Haryana Teaching Eligibility Test Entrance Exam 2020. Exams are to be held on 16 and 17 November 2020.

As per the official site, the committee has released the Exam Schedule and Important Dates for the HTET 2020 Examination. The Secretary of Vidyalaya Education board has proposed the Director to conduct the HTET Exam for 2 days (November 21 and 22 2020).

Earlier, the exam was to be conducted in the month of May, but due to the outbreak of COVID-19 the state board had to postpone the exams in November 2020. 

The Eligibility Test is conducted once in every year. HTET is held for different levels of teacher recruitment such as Primary Teacher (PT), Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT), and Post Graduate Teacher (PGT) in schools run by the Haryana State Government.

Students who wish to take Teaching as their profession are advised to complete their Graduation and Post-Graduation in B.ED or secure a Diploma Degree in Education. Then they can appear for the HTET Exam and if passed can apply for the Teacher’s Post in any Schools or Colleges. 

To apply for the test, students can visit the official site and submit their applications along with the self-attested Scanned copies of academic certificates.

HTET 2020 comprises 150 multiple choice questions each carrying one mark, out of which the students have to secure at least 90 correct answers. The Test takes 2 hours and 3 minutes to complete.

 The Exam is conducted in offline mode and the Bio-metric system is followed to verify the face and thumb imprints for attending the Exam.

The Haryana Board of School Education has decided to change the validity of Expiration for the HTET Certificate. Previously it was extended up to 5 years but since the recess session in the year 2012 and no vacancies for the teachers to apply, the board has decided to validate the Test for 7 years.
