24 September 2020: Haryana Government has announced the reopening of Universities and Colleges from September 26 on a trial basis amid Coronavirus pandemic.
To ensure the safety of students and teachers, the Higher education Department of Haryana has directed all universities and colleges to devise and communicate all safety protocols related to Coronavirus by Friday, 25 September 2020.
With the reference to Union Health Minsutry issued SOPs for Unlock 0.4 guidelines followed by states, the Director-General of the Higher Education Department has referred a letter to the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA).
According to the letter, the students from classes 9th to 12th are allowed to visit schools on a voluntary basis with their parent's written consent.

The letter read" “Keeping this in view, the universities and colleges may also be allowed to open for students seeking guidance from teachers in a staggered manner”.
As per the protocols issued by the government, social distancing and sanitization will be followed by the institutes and colleges.
Haryana Colleges and Universities Reopening Schedule
Haryana schools and colleges were shut for the past 6 months. Institutes and Colleges have switched to the online mode of education due to the coronavirus situation in the states.
Recently Haryana Government has allowed students of class 9th onwards to visit the schools in their areas outside of containment zones for academic guidance.
The decisions were taken by the Haryana Government in compliance with the Unlock 4 Guidelines issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs.
Earlier, Haryana planned to conduct trial classes for 10th and 12th standard students in two district schools. The state government has made this decision in line with Unlock 4.0 guidelines that the Centre has released recently.
As per the Scheduled prepared by the Haryana Higher Education Department, BA first can visit the college between 9 am to 12 noon on Mondays and Tuesdays.
BA third year students and Post Graduation first year students can also visit the college campus for academic guidance on Fridays and Saturdays between 9 am to 12 noon.
On the other hand, B.Com and B.Sc final year and Post Graduation second year students can visit the college campus on Friday and Saturdays between 12:30 pm to 3:30 pm.
