The Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) has decided to hold the first-ever CS Executive Entrance Test (CSEET) through remote-proctored mode on 29 August. Candidates who have applied can take the examination from their homes. This decision has been made due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Since the examination will be held in proctored mode, the portion related to viva-voce has been removed for the first CSEET. The computer-based MCQ section of the online examination will remain the same. Paper 4 will carry 50 marks and contain questions on Current Affairs, Presentation and Communication Skills

The candidates will have to log in using an ID and a password on the day of the test, and they will be remotely proctored from the control room of the institute.

At the beginning of each session, the candidate will have to undergo an identity verification at two levels. Firstly, during the examination, the Artificial Intelligence tool will constantly monitor the picture of the candidate taking the exam with the facial photo captured before, to check for any mismatch. If there is a mismatch, the system will notify the candidate as well as the proctor.

At the second level, the candidate will need to display the admit card and valid identity proof. The proctor will instruct the candidate to show the admit card and the ID after logging in.

If the candidate is found violating any rules or trying to take the examination by unfair means, the system will automatically collect data based on the above parameters and will alert the proctor at once.

The ICSI has also announced the examination date for CSEET November via an official notification. The examination will be given on 28 November 2020. The last date for registering is 27 October.
