IGNOU July 2026 Re-Registration Deadline Extended to July 15; Check How to Apply

Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has extended the July 2026 session re-registration deadline. The revised schedule is now live on the official portal at onlinerr.ignou.ac.in. Continuing students get a longer window to submit their forms.

The earlier cut-off was June 30, 2026. IGNOU has pushed it forward by 15 days. The relief covers all Undergraduate (UG) and Postgraduate (PG) programmes. Both Open and Distance Learning (ODL) and Online modes are included.

The re-registration window opened on May 6, 2026. It is meant only for students already enrolled with IGNOU. Fresh applicants must use the separate IGNOU admission portal.

Who Needs to Re-Register for the July 2026 Session?

Re-registration is a mandatory step for existing IGNOU learners. Students must complete it before every new year or semester. Without it, they cannot access new study material or exams.

The window applies to all major IGNOU programmes. This includes MBA, MA, MCom, MSc, MSW, BA, BCom, BSc, and BCA. Certificate and diploma learners can also use the same portal.

How to Complete IGNOU Re-Registration 2026?

The full process is online through the Samarth-based portal. There is no paper form or offline mode. Payment is also collected on the same portal.

• Visit the official portal at onlinerr.ignou.ac.in.
• Log in using your enrolment number and registered password.
• Select the courses for your next year or semester.
• Verify your programme and personal details on the form.
• Pay the applicable fee through the online payment gateway.
• Submit the form and save the confirmation page.

What Are the Re-Registration Fees for July 2026?

The programme fee is shown on the portal during payment. The exact amount depends on the course and year chosen. A late fee of Rs 200 applies to submissions after June 30, 2026.

Students must clear all pending course fees to proceed. The system will not accept forms with unpaid dues from earlier terms.
