Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has extended its July 2026 admission deadline. The new last date to apply is Aug 31, 2026. It covers all notified Open and Distance Learning (ODL) and online programmes.

The extended deadline applies to both fresh admissions and online re-registration. ODL aspirants must register at ignouadmission.samarth.edu.in. Online mode candidates must apply at ignouiop.samarth.edu.in. Every applicant needs an active email, mobile number, and a mandatory APAAR ID.

Candidates must register on the official Samarth portal before the deadline. The process is fully online and needs pre-scanned documents. Payment is accepted via net banking, debit card, credit card, or UPI.

  • Click on "New Registration" and create a login using name, email, and mobile.
  • Log in and fill in personal, academic, and programme details.
  • Upload the photograph, signature, and required certificates.
  • Pay the Rs 300 application fee online.

IGNOU Fee and Refund Policy

The Rs 300 registration fee is non-refundable in all cases. Programme fees remain fully refundable before admission confirmation. After confirmation, a 15 percent deduction applies, capped at Rs 2,000.
