IIM Kozhikode Conducted 26th Convocation Ceremony; Awarded 1,196 Degrees

Out of the 1196 graduating students, 33 per cent i.e; 401 candidates were females from eight different management programs offered by IIM Kozhikode.

New Delhi: Indian Institute of Management Kozhikode (IIM Kozhikode) held its 26th Convocation Ceremony on April 13, 2024. During the ceremony, it conferred 1,196 degrees to the graduating students.

The 26th Convocation Ceremony of IIM Kozhikode was attended by four top corporate leaders from Private as well as Public conglomerates along with the graduating students. The ceremony was conducted in two shifts- the morning session and the evening session.

The morning session witnessed students from IIM Kozhikode’s Doctoral Programme in Management for Working Executives (PhD – Practise Track), Executive Post Graduate Programme – Interactive Leaning Mode (Kozhikode Campus) and Executive Post Graduate Programme Kochi Campus being conferred with their degrees. Mr. Hari Menon Co-Founder & CEO, BigBasket along with Mr. Debashis Chatterjee CEO & Managing Director, LTIMindtree were the chief guests of the session.

Hari Menon emphasized on ‘creativity’ and ‘Innovation’ and ‘teamwork’, as crucial to achieving success. He encouraged the graduates to strive for excellence whilst also maintaining a work-life balance and nurturing hobbies that will only inspire them to work better.

Mr Chatterjee congratulated the graduating students and made them aware of the various trends in the industry and what the future holds for them in a volatile, uncertain and complex world. He added that ‘Change is the only constant’ and that continuous innovations holds key to the shape the business of the future. He identified ‘Simplicity’ and ‘Differentiation’ as the other key factors that along with ‘Change’ are integral for continuous innovation.

The evening session conferred degrees to full-time students from the DPM (PhD), flagship PGP, PGP-BL, PGP-Finance and PGP-LSM. This session was presided over by Ms. Geetika Mehta, Managing Director, Nivea India and Mr. Amarendu Prakash, Chairman, Steel Authority of India Ltd (SAIL) was the Guest of Honour.

Out of the 1196 graduating students, 33 per cent i.e; 401 candidates were females from eight different management programs offered by IIM Kozhikode. The graduating cohort included 19 students in the Doctoral programme in Management (PhD), 3 students in the Doctoral programme in Management Practise Track (PhD-PT), 469 students in the Post Graduate programme in Management (PGP), 61 students in the Post Graduate programme in Business Leadership (PGP-BL), 38 students in the Post Graduate programme in Finance (PGP-Finance), 40 students in the Post Graduate programme in Liberal Studies and Management, 477 students in the Executive Post Graduate programme - Interactive Learning Mode and 89 students in the Executive Post Graduate programme – Kochi Campus.
