The Indian Institutes of Science Education and Research (IISER) has released the Indian Institutes of Science Education and Research Aptitude Test (IAT) 2026 Round 5 seat allotment result on the official admission portal at iiseradmission.in. Candidates who registered for the counselling can now log in with their application number and password to check the allotment status and download the provisional admission offer letter.
The IISER IAT 2026 Round 5 result was announced on August 24, 2026. Allotted candidates must accept the offer and pay the Seat Acceptance Fee (SAF) on or before August 26, 2026. Seat Acceptance Fee Structure
The Seat Acceptance Fee is category-based and must be paid online. A portion of the fee is non-refundable, while the remaining amount is adjusted against the first-semester tuition fee at the allotted institute.

What Are the Accept and Freeze and Accept and Float Options?
Candidates who receive a Round 5 allotment must choose one of two response options before paying the SAF. The choice decides whether the candidate stays in counselling or exits with the current seat.
- Accept and Freeze: The candidate confirms the allotted seat as final and exits the counselling process.
- Accept and Float: The candidate accepts the current seat but stays eligible for a higher preference in later rounds.

How to Pay the Seat Acceptance Fee?
The SAF must be paid through online modes only within the stipulated window. Offline payment is not accepted for Round 5.
- Log in to the admission portal using the candidate credentials.
- Select the Accept and Freeze or Accept and Float option as required.
- Proceed to the payment gateway on the same portal.
- Pay the applicable SAF using net banking, debit card, credit card, or UPI.
- Download and save the fee payment receipt for future reference.
Missing the August 26 deadline cancels the Round 5 allotment. The candidate also loses eligibility for all remaining IISER counselling rounds this cycle.
