The Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay is going to set up an alumni center.
New Delhi: IIT Bombay (Indian Institute of Technology Bombay) will establish an alumni centre. IIT Bombay alumnus Mohan Kavrie will help with the establishment of the alumni centre.
The development and relations foundation, the dean of alumni and corporate relations, and the IIT Bombay Alumni Association (IIITBAA1) will all have offices at the alumni centre.
Kavire has suggested establishing a centre to aid in better office coordination and management. Kavrie has made contributions to the growth of the Alumni Centre out of a genuine love for his old master. With his assistance, the IITB alumni will have a special venue to come together, work together, and advance the goals of the organisation. He earned a civil engineering degree from IIT Bombay in 1971.
The goal of the Alumni Centre is to foster ties between the school, its graduates, and the corporate world. It will provide a platform for knowledge sharing and opportunities for mentoring, enabling alumni to engage with the student body and one another. The Centre will also encourage industry and IITB collaborations that support research, entrepreneurship, and innovation.
The IIBAA has been hosting a number of online and in-person workshops on a range of topics for engineering students interested in learning and improving professionally. Alumni in engineering from a range of fields have helped students hone their skills and created a creative environment for future engineering students. Nandan Nilekani, co-founder and chairman of Infosys Ltd., recently donated Rs 315 crore to IIT Bombay.
