IIT Madras Alumni to Offer Free Masterclass Series to Upskill Indians

A set of free masterclasses will be offered by the alumnus of IIT madras to upskill Indians and help the community at large to cope with the pandemic. It will be held virtually as a part of ‘Sangam 2020’ which is the alumni association’s annual event.

IIT Madras will be conducting the masterclasses along with Sangam 2020 from December 1 to December 6, 2020. The aim of the masterclasses is to help people evolve with the new normal during the times of pandemic. 

Sangam 2020 will also be elaborating upon how government, business, and individuals can change their lens of viewing the pandemic to see it as an era of opportunity rather than as a problem period. 

The participants of Sangam 2020 will be Dr. Vinay Sahasrabuddhe, member of parliament, K Vijay Raghavan, principal scientific adviser, Government of India, Kris Gopalakrishnan, co-founder of Infosys, Sir Mark Welland, University of Cambridge, U.K, and others.

IIT Madras is also surveying in India as well as abroad to get perspectives of people on the impacts of COVID-19 on a personal as well as a collective level. 

The survey is being conducted in collaboration with the Office of Principal Scientific Adviser, Government of India. Masterclasses will be held based on such feedback.
