Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras has introduced a Bachelor of Science (BS) program in Data Science and Applications.

New Delhi: IIT Madras is inviting applications for admission to its BS Data Science and Application program for the academic session 2024. The last date to apply is Jan 14, 2024. Aspirants can check and apply through the official website study.iitm.ac.in/ds.

IIT Madras has taken a significant step in launching a specialized undergraduate program that focuses on the practical applications of data science in various domains.

IIT Madras BS in Data Science and Application Admission 2024: Eligibility Criteria

Individuals who have successfully completed Class 12 or its equivalent can apply, regardless of age or academic background, and those who meet the requirements can enroll in the program immediately.
School students who have appeared for their Class 11 final exams can apply irrespective of their group/stream/board. Those who qualify can join the program after passing Class 12.

It is mandatory that candidates have studied Mathematics and English in Class 10. Aspirants should complete a 4-week program, including assignments. Attaining the minimum required scores in weekly assignments qualifies individuals to take a Qualifier Exam, which is based on the content covered in the 4 weeks. Those who achieve the minimum required scores in the Qualifier Exam can then proceed to register for Foundation Level courses.
