IP University Cancels B.Pharm Entrance Test Held on 12 September
On 15 September, Indraprastha University announced that the entrance test that it holds for admission to the B.Pharm course, that was held on 12 September in Delhi NCR, Jaipur, Chandigarh and Lucknow, has been cancelled due to technical reasons.
IPU said that students will have to retake the examination. "A retest shall be notified in due course of time. Date for the examination shall be intimated to only those candidates who had appeared on September 12.”
Prodyut Bhattacharya, the controller of examination, said that the examination has been cancelled as there were issues with the syllabus and the question paper. The examination will be held again on 30 September.
Under IPU, two colleges offer the B.Pharm course: Aditya College of Pharmacy and Science Delhi and Maharaja Surajmal Institute of Pharmacy Delhi. The main subjects under B.Pharm, which is a four-year course, are Pharmaceutics, Pharmacognosy, Pathophysiology, Applied Biochemistry, Pharmaceutical Engineering, Medicinal Chemistry, and so on.
To be eligible for the B.Pharm course, candidates must have passed 10+2 from a recognized board. Furthermore, they should have studied Physics, Chemistry and Biology in 10+2 and passed their class 12 examination with 55 percent marks in aggregate.
Meanwhile, IPU will be holding the final-semester examinations by the fourth week of September. The examination will be held in the pen-paper mode. The schedule for the entrance examination will be released on the official website of the university. Students should visit the official website regularly for updates.
