ISB Begins PGP MFAB Round 2 Admission 2026

Indian School of Business (ISB) has opened Round 2 admissions for its Post Graduate Programme in Management for Family Business (PGP MFAB) offered at the Hyderabad and Mohali campuses for the Class of 2027. The final application deadline for Round 2 is March 8, 2026, and only complete, verified applications will be evaluated further. Applicants must also have a valid Business Admissions Test (BAT) score, as ISB considers this a mandatory gateway exam for shortlisting and final selection.

To be eligible for ISB PGP MFAB 2026, candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification (such as CA) and should have completed their degree at the time of application. A valid BAT score is compulsory for the application to be taken up for evaluation, and applications without this score will not be processed.

There is no mandatory work experience requirement, but ISB recommends 2–3 years of relevant experience to help candidates benefit more from the programme. In addition, applicants must belong to a family business and intend to take it forward, as the programme is designed exclusively for next-generation family business leaders.

For the PGP MFAB Class of 2027, ISB has announced two rounds of admission, with Round 2 closing on March 8, 2026. As per the official deadline page, interviews for Round 2 are tentatively scheduled between Week 2 and Week 4 of April 2026, and final admission decisions are expected by mid-May 2026.

Applications submitted after the Round 1 cut-off are automatically moved into Round 2, while no applications are accepted after March 8, 2026, for this ISB, Hyderabad intake. Candidates can apply online through the ISB application portal, where PGP MFAB is listed alongside other postgraduate programmes.

ISB follows a multi-stage, merit-based selection process for PGP MFAB to assess academic readiness, business exposure and commitment to family business. In Stage 1, candidates fill and submit the online application form along with all required documents and essays.

Stage 2 involves taking the Business Admissions Test (BAT), a specialised exam that checks business acumen, analytical ability and decision-making through case-based questions and real-world scenarios.

In Stage 3, ISB carries out application verification, checking completeness within a defined time frame and asking applicants to fix any gaps. Only “Verified” applications move forward for holistic evaluation. In Stage 4, the admissions team evaluates each profile on academics, BAT score, any prior work experience, essays, awards and achievements, and then shortlists candidates for interviews.

Shortlisted candidates proceed to Stage 5, where they attend a 30-minute interview conducted by ISB faculty and alumni panels, either in person at selected Tier-1 cities or online via Zoom, with both formats treated equally.

After interviews are completed, the application moves to Stage 6, where the Admissions Committee, comprising faculty members and alumni, conducts a comprehensive review of each candidate’s overall profile, interview performance and BAT score before taking a final decision. In Stage 7, candidates receive final admission decisions via email, in line with the Round 2 timeline (mid-May 2026 for the Class of 2027).
