IUST has extended the application deadline for its 2-year postgraduate and BArch programmes for the 2026 session to June 26 2026. Apply online at admission.iust.ac.in before the revised last date.

The Islamic University of Science and Technology (IUST) has extended a key admission deadline. The Awantipora-based institute will now accept applications until June 26 2026. The extension applies to all two-year Postgraduate (PG) programmes for 2026. It also covers the five-year Bachelor of Architecture (BArch) programme.

The official extension notice was issued by IUST on June 15 2026. Candidates can apply online through the portal admission.iust.ac.in. Aspirants now have additional days to complete the application form.

Programmes Covered by the Extension

The revised deadline applies to admission seats across multiple PG streams. IUST runs PG courses in engineering, sciences, humanities, management, and computer applications. The BArch programme is offered through the IUST School of Architecture.

Programme Duration Level
MTech 2 Years Postgraduate
MSc 2 Years Postgraduate
MA 2 Years Postgraduate
MBA 2 Years Postgraduate
MCA 2 Years Postgraduate
BArch 5 Years Undergraduate

What Is the IUST Application Fee?

The application fee is Rs 500 for one course. Candidates applying for more than one course pay an extra charge. An additional Rs 200 is charged for every extra programme selected. Fees can be paid online through the admission portal directly.

Who Is Eligible to Apply?

Eligibility differs across PG and BArch programmes at IUST. Most PG courses require a relevant bachelor's degree from a recognised university. Minimum marks usually range between 45 and 60 percent. The exact cut-off depends on the programme and category.

MTech applicants generally need a valid GATE score. They must also hold a relevant BTech degree from a recognised institute. BArch admissions are based on a valid JEE Main Paper-2 rank. Seats are filled through CSAB counselling and an institute-level process.

What Documents Are Required?

Candidates need to keep specific documents handy during the online application. These will need to be uploaded in the prescribed format.

  • Class 10 and Class 12 marksheets and certificates
  • Qualifying degree marksheet and provisional or final certificate
  • Valid entrance test scorecard (GATE or JEE Main Paper-2) where applicable
  • Recent passport-size photograph and scanned signature
  • Category certificate (SC, ST, OBC, or EWS) where applicable
  • Valid photo identity proof such as Aadhaar or PAN

How Will Candidates Be Selected?

Selection at IUST depends on the type of programme applied for. PG admissions usually follow merit in the qualifying degree or entrance scores. Some programmes also conduct interviews or written tests as needed.

MTech admission gives weightage to the GATE score of the candidate. BArch admission relies on JEE Main Paper-2 ranks and CSAB allotment. The university releases programme-wise merit lists on its admission portal.
