JEE Main 2026 Paper 2 Result Soon for April Attempt

The National Testing Agency (NTA) is expected to announce the JEE Main 2026 Session 2 result for Paper 2 (B.Arch and B.Planning) by the end of April or early May 2026. The Paper 1 (B.E./B.Tech) result was already declared on April 20, 2026, and Paper 2 result is anticipated to follow shortly after the objection window closes on April 27, 2026. Candidates who appeared for the architecture and planning entrance examination should keep their login credentials ready to download their scorecards once the result is announced. The result will be available on the official website at jeemain.nta.nic.in.

The delay in Paper 2 result declaration is due to the ongoing answer key challenge process which closes on April 27, 2026. After the objection window closes, NTA's expert committee will review all challenges and finalize the answer key. Once the final answer key is prepared, the results will be calculated and declared. Based on previous trends, JEE Main results are typically released approximately 12-13 days after the final exam date, which suggests Paper 2 results should be announced by end of April or early May 2026.

What to Expect When Paper 2 Result is Declared?

When the JEE Main 2026 Session 2 Paper 2 result is announced, candidates will be able to download their scorecards from the official NTA website. The scorecard will display the candidate's raw score obtained in the examination out of 300 marks. It will also show the percentile score which represents performance relative to other candidates who appeared in the same session. The scorecard includes category-wise rank information which determines the candidate's position among candidates in their category. Additionally, the scorecard provides category-wise cutoff scores for reference purposes.

The result announcement will also include merit lists showing top performers in each category and stream. Candidates should note that their best score from both JEE Main 2026 sessions (Session 1 and Session 2) will be considered for JoSAA counseling. The percentile score is calculated using NTA's normalized scoring methodology to ensure fairness across multiple sessions and shifts. A higher percentile indicates better performance relative to other candidates. Candidates should carefully review all details on their scorecard and report any discrepancies to NTA immediately.
