KEA Extends Karnataka NEET UG 2026 Round 1 Choice Selection; Check Revised Schedule

The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has extended the deadlines for choice selection, fee payment, and reporting to the allotted college for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Undergraduate (NEET UG) 2026 Round 1 counselling. The official notification was released on September 3, 2026 on the KEA portal at cetonline.karnataka.gov.in.

The extension applies to candidates who received a seat in the Round 1 final allotment for MBBS, BDS, and other UG medical and dental courses. Affected candidates must now complete the pending steps within the revised timelines shared in the official circular.

What Has Been Extended?

The revised order covers three key actions in the Round 1 counselling flow. Candidates who could not finish these tasks earlier now get additional working hours.

• Choice selection for the allotted seat (Accept and Join, Accept but Upgrade, Reject and Try Again, or Exit).
• Payment of the applicable course fee for candidates opting for Choice 1 or Choice 2.
• Reporting to the allotted college along with the Seat Confirmation Slip and original documents.

Four Choices Given to Allotted Candidates

After the Round 1 allotment, KEA gives every allotted candidate four options. The candidate must select one within the choice selection window.

• Choice 1 (Accept and Join): Pay the full fee and report to the allotted college. The seat is locked.
• Choice 2 (Accept but Upgrade): Pay the fee and report, but remain in the pool for a better seat in Round 2.
• Choice 3 (Reject and Try Again): Refuse the seat without penalty and participate in Round 2.
• Choice 4 (Exit Counselling): Withdraw from the KEA NEET UG counselling process fully.

How to Complete the Extended Steps?

Candidates should follow the process below on the KEA portal. Keep login credentials and payment tools ready in advance.

1. Visit the official KEA portal at cetonline.karnataka.gov.in.
2. Log in using the CET number and password.
3. Open the NEET UG 2026 Round 1 allotment section.
4. Select one of the four choices for the allotted seat.
5. Pay the course fee online if Choice 1 or Choice 2 is selected.
6. Download the Seat Confirmation Slip and allotment letter.
7. Report to the allotted college with original documents within the deadline.
