West Bengal Medical Counselling Committee has released the WB NEET UG 2026 Round 2 counselling schedule. Registration and fee payment close on September 8 while choice filling ends on September 9 on wbmcc.nic.in.

West Bengal Medical Counselling Committee (WBMCC) has issued the Round 2 schedule for the NEET UG 2026 counselling process. The notice was published on September 3, 2026, at wbmcc.nic.in.
Round 2 fills MBBS and BDS seats in West Bengal medical colleges. It covers Government colleges and Private college State, Management and NRI quota seats. Both fresh candidates and Round 1 upgrade seekers can apply.

Registration and fee payment must be completed within the prescribed window. Choice filling and locking closes only one day later. Candidates should not wait until the final day.

Round 1 Admission Deadline Extended
WBMCC also extended the Round 1 admission deadline. Allotted candidates could join colleges until 9:00 PM on September 3, 2026. The extension was announced with the Round 2 notice and gave last-minute candidates a chance to complete the admission formalities.
Candidates who missed the joining window have lost their allotted seats. They can still register as fresh candidates for Round 2 counselling.

Who Can Apply for WB NEET UG 2026 Round 2 Counselling?
Candidates who have qualified NEET UG 2026 can apply for this round. West Bengal domicile candidates can compete for state quota seats. Candidates from other states can apply for Private college Management or NRI quota seats, subject to the applicable eligibility rules.
Fresh candidates who missed Round 1 can also register. Round 1 upgrade seekers must participate according to WBMCC rules. Candidates should read the official information bulletin before registering.

How to Register for WB NEET UG 2026 Round 2 Counselling?
The complete registration process is conducted online through the WBMCC portal. Candidates should complete every step in the prescribed order.

- Click on the Round 2 candidate registration link.
- Enter the NEET UG 2026 roll number and personal details.
- Pay the counselling fee and security deposit online.
- Fill and lock the preferred college and course choices.

Choice Filling and Locking Guidelines
Candidates should arrange their choices carefully according to preference. Higher-priority colleges and courses should be placed at the top. Proper choice ordering can improve the chances of receiving a preferred allotment.
Choices remain provisional until they are locked or automatically locked. Once locked, the submitted choices cannot be edited. Auto-locking takes place when the choice-filling window closes.

WB NEET UG 2026 Round 2 Counselling Fee
Candidates must pay a non-refundable counselling registration fee online. A refundable security deposit is also collected during registration.
The security deposit amount varies for Government and Private college choices. The detailed fee structure is available in a separate PDF on wbmcc.nic.in. Payments can be made using net banking, debit card, credit card or UPI.

WB NEET UG 2026 Round 2 Seat Matrix
WBMCC will publish the Round 2 seat matrix separately on its portal. The matrix will display college-wise and category-wise vacant seats. Candidates should review it before finalising their choices.
It will include MBBS and BDS seats available in Government and Private colleges. Management and NRI quota seats in private colleges will also be listed. Seat availability may change based on Round 1 admissions, resignations and seat conversions.

What Documents Do Candidates Need?
Candidates should keep the NEET UG 2026 scorecard and admit card ready. Class 10 and Class 12 mark sheets are also mandatory.
Candidates may also need the following documents:
- West Bengal domicile certificate
- Valid photo identity proof
- Caste certificate, if applicable
- PwD certificate, if applicable
- EWS certificate, if applicable
- Passport-size photographs
Original documents will be verified at the allotted college during reporting. Candidates without complete or valid documents may lose their allotted seats.

What Happens After Seat Allotment?
Allotted candidates must report to their allotted colleges within the prescribed deadline. They must carry all required original documents and certificates. Physical document verification will be conducted at the allotted college.
Candidates must also pay the applicable college admission fee while joining. Those who fail to report within the deadline will forfeit their allotted seats. Such seats may be offered to other candidates in a subsequent counselling round.
Round 2 is the second major chance for a state MBBS seat. Missing it may push candidates to the mop-up round. Stray vacancy rounds usually offer far fewer seats.
