The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has activated the Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET) 2026 Round 3 option entry link on the official portal at cetonline.karnataka.gov.in/kea/ugcet2026. The choice filling window opened on August 31, 2026. Registered candidates can now submit fresh course and college preferences for the third round of seat allotment.

Round 3 is the final round of KCET 2026 counselling. It covers vacant and newly surrendered seats in engineering, pharmacy, and allied professional courses across Karnataka. Candidates must log in with their application number and secret key to access the option entry portal.

KCET 2026 Round 3 Key Details

KEA has released the seat matrix for Round 3, including seats that remained unallotted after Round 2 and seats surrendered by candidates who exited the process. The updated seat matrix is available on the official counselling page.

Who Can Fill Options in Round 3?

All KCET 2026 registered candidates who have not yet secured a final admission can participate in Round 3. This includes candidates who did not receive an allotment in Round 2. It also includes those who rejected their Round 2 seat.

Fresh option entry is mandatory for Round 3. Choices carried over from earlier rounds will not apply. Candidates must enter a new order of preferences to be considered for allotment.

How to Fill KCET 2026 Round 3 Options?

Candidates must complete the option entry process before the September 3, 2026 deadline. The steps below explain the process on the KEA portal.

1. Visit the official portal at cetonline.karnataka.gov.in/kea/ugcet2026.
2. Click on the Round 3 option entry link dated August 31, 2026.
3. Log in using your KCET 2026 application number and secret key.
4. Check the updated Round 3 seat matrix for available colleges and courses.
5. Add your preferred courses and colleges in order of priority.
6. Save each option and review the full preference list carefully.
7. Submit the final option list and download the confirmation slip.

What Happens After Option Entry Closes?

KEA will process the submitted preferences after the option entry window closes on September 3, 2026. The Round 3 seat allotment result will be published on the same official portal. Allotted candidates will need to pay fees and report to the college within the notified window.

Since Round 3 is the final round, candidates who accept a seat here cannot exit the process. Candidates who skip Round 3 will lose their claim on KCET 2026 counselling seats.
