The Krishna Kanta Handiqui State Open University (KKHSOU) has extended admission registration. The new deadline for the July 2026 session is September 15, 2026. Candidates can register online at the official portal, kkhsou.ac.in.
The extension was announced on September 1, 2026, by the Registrar. It was issued under Memo No. KKHSOU/Admission/1/15/2026/9-A. The previous last date to apply was August 31, 2026.
The revised window applies to all programmes for the July 2026 session. This includes undergraduate, postgraduate, diploma and certificate courses. All programmes are offered in the Open and Distance Learning (ODL) mode.

Programmes Covered Under the Extension
KKHSOU offers 62 programmes for the July 2026 session. These include 12 UG, 18 PG, 14 diploma and 18 certificate courses. All programmes are delivered in the ODL mode across Assam and beyond.
Popular UG options include BA, B.Com, B.Sc, BCA, BBA and BLIS. PG options include MA, M.Com, MSc IT, MBA and MLIS. The MA programme is available in Assamese, English, Economics, Political Science and Sociology.
