The State Common Entrance Test Cell, Maharashtra (CET Cell) has released the Maharashtra MBA Common Entrance Test (MAH MBA CET) Centralised Admission Process (CAP) 2026 final merit list on the official website at cetcell.mahacet.org. A total of 56,669 candidates have been declared eligible for CAP 2026.

The final list carries names, merit ranks, category, and candidature type. Only candidates named in this list can participate in the CAP rounds. The grievance window ran from July 23 to July 25, 2026. All confirmed changes stand reflected in the released list.

The merit list is the base document for CAP seat allotment. Colleges under this process will use these ranks to fill seats. The list also decides the priority order for each round of allotment.

The CET Cell has published multiple category-wise merit lists this year. Candidates must open the list that applies to their candidature type.

Each PDF is hosted on the MAH MBA CET 2026 admissions portal. Reserved category candidates must verify their rank in the correct list. A cross-check against the application form details is advised.

What Happens After the Final Merit List?

The CET Cell will conduct four CAP rounds this admission cycle. Round 1 begins on July 28, 2026, with option-form filling. Candidates will list their preferred colleges and MBA specialisations in order.

Seat allotment for Round 1 will be released on August 2, 2026. Allotted candidates must accept the seat within the given window. They must then report to the allotted institute with original documents.

Vacant seats after each round move into the next round. Candidates who miss reporting will lose their allotted seat automatically. Fresh choices can be filled before every new round.

Who Is Eligible for the CAP Rounds?

Only candidates listed in the final merit list can join CAP. They must hold a valid MAH MBA CET 2026 scorecard. CAT, CMAT, MAT, XAT, ATMA, or GMAT scores are also accepted.

All candidates must meet the minimum eligibility set by the CET Cell. Domicile and category proofs uploaded earlier must match the merit list entry. Any mismatch could lead to cancellation at the reporting stage.

Why This Matters

Maharashtra runs one of India's largest MBA counselling exercises. The eligible pool will compete for seats in state-approved MBA institutes. Four CAP rounds will decide the final allotments.
