State CET Cell Maharashtra has extended the MAH NEET UG 2026 Round 1 registration deadline. A revised schedule is now available on the official portal medical2026.mahacet.org for MBBS and BDS aspirants.

MAH NEET UG Counselling 2026 Round 1 Deadline Extended

The State Common Entrance Test Cell (CET Cell), Maharashtra has extended the Maharashtra Undergraduate NEET (MAH NEET UG) 2026 counselling Round 1 registration deadline. The extension was issued through Notice No 08 on the official portal at medical2026.mahacet.org. A revised schedule for the Centralised Admission Process (CAP) is now live for candidates.

The notice covers admissions to MBBS and BDS seats across government, aided and private medical and dental colleges in Maharashtra. Candidates who could not complete the process earlier can now register and upload documents. The revised timeline also shifts merit list, choice filling and seat allotment dates for Round 1.

Why the Deadline Was Extended

Several candidates reported difficulties during document upload and fee payment near the earlier cut-off. The CET Cell issued Notice No 08 to give aspirants more time to finish each step. The move is aimed at ensuring genuine candidates are not left out of Round 1.

Only candidates who qualified NEET UG 2026 and meet the Maharashtra domicile rules can register. Both open and reserved category applicants from the state are eligible under the CAP framework.

What Happens After Registration Closes?

The CET Cell will conduct e-scrutiny of uploaded documents in a defined window. A provisional merit list will then be released on the portal. Candidates can raise grievances within the notified objection period.

The final merit list will be published after grievances are resolved. Choice filling and seat allotment for Round 1 will follow the revised timeline. All updates are shared only through the official medical CAP portal.

Why This Matters

Maharashtra offers one of the largest MBBS and BDS seat pools in India. A missed Round 1 window often pushes candidates to lower preference colleges. The extended deadline gives eligible aspirants a fair second chance at their top choices.

  2. Check your eligibility under the Maharashtra domicile rules.
  3. Keep all scanned documents ready in the prescribed format.
  4. Complete registration and pay the CAP fee within the revised window.
  5. Track e-scrutiny status and respond to any query on time.
  6. Prepare a careful choice list for the upcoming choice filling stage.
