MCC NEET MDS 2026 Round 1 Counselling Schedule Revised at mcc.nic.in; Check New Dates

The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has revised the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Master of Dental Surgery (NEET MDS) 2026 Round 1 counselling schedule. The revised notice is now live on the official portal at mcc.nic.in. Candidates who qualified NEET MDS 2026 can register under the new timeline.

The MCC conducts this counselling for admission to MDS seats across the country. It covers the 15 percent All India Quota (AIQ), Deemed Universities, Central Universities, and Armed Forces Medical Services (AFMS) institutions. Registration and fee payment now close on August 23, 2026, but at different cut-off times.

Choice filling remains open through the registration window. Choice locking will run for a shorter final window before the deadline. Seat allotment processing will follow immediately, with the Round 1 result declared next.

Seats Covered Under MCC NEET MDS Counselling

MCC handles NEET MDS admissions to a fixed pool of seats every year. The Round 1 counselling covers the following categories.

• 15 percent All India Quota (AIQ) MDS seats in state dental colleges
• MDS seats in Deemed Universities
• MDS seats in Central Universities
• MDS seats under Armed Forces Medical Services (AFMS)

State quota MDS seats are handled separately by the respective state counselling authorities. Candidates who want state seats must register on their state portals in parallel.

How to Register for NEET MDS 2026 Round 1 Counselling?

Registration is fully online through the MCC portal. Candidates must complete each step in order before the cut-off time.

1. Open the official MCC portal at mcc.nic.in and click the NEET MDS 2026 counselling link.
2. Enter the NEET MDS 2026 roll number, application number, and other required credentials.
3. Fill in the personal, academic, and contact details as asked.
4. Pay the counselling fee online using net banking, debit card, credit card, or UPI.
5. Fill college and course choices in order of preference during the choice-filling window.
6. Lock the choices within the locking window; unlocked choices are auto-locked at the deadline.
7. Download the filled-in confirmation page for future reference.

The seat allotment is based on NEET MDS 2026 rank, filled choices, category, and seat availability. Candidates should fill enough choices to improve their chance of allotment.

What Happens After the Round 1 Result?

Once the Round 1 result is declared, allotted candidates must download the allotment letter from the MCC portal. They must then report to the assigned dental or medical institution within the reporting window. Document verification will be done at the allotted college.

Candidates who fail to report within the given window will lose their allotted seat. The seat then moves to the vacancy pool for the next round. Rejoining a seat later is not allowed.

Action Plan for Candidates

1. Visit mcc.nic.in and complete the NEET MDS 2026 registration well before the cut-off time.
2. Keep the NEET MDS 2026 scorecard, Class 10 and 12 certificates, BDS degree, internship certificate, and category documents ready.
3. Arrange the counselling fee amount in a payment mode of choice before the payment deadline.
4. Prepare a preference list of colleges and MDS specialisations based on rank and interest.
5. Lock the filled choices before the locking window closes; do not wait for the last minute.
6. Check the seat allotment result on the declared date and download the allotment letter.
7. Report to the allotted institution with all original documents within the reporting window.
