The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has released the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Undergraduate (NEET UG) 2026 Round 1 provisional seat allotment on its official portal at mcc.nic.in. Candidates who took part in Round 1 choice filling can now view their allotted college, course, and category details after logging in.
The window to raise grievances against the provisional list closes at 3:59 PM on August 21, 2026. Objections are accepted only through the Candidate Grievances and Query Redressal System on the MCC portal.
The provisional list covers 15% All India Quota (AIQ) seats for MBBS and BDS. It also covers 100% seats at AIIMS, JIPMER, BHU, AMU, ESIC institutions, and Central Universities. Delhi University and IP University quota seats are included as well.
MCC has clarified that the provisional result is only indicative in nature. Candidates have no legal right over the seats shown in this list. The final Round 1 allotment will be issued after MCC reviews all raised objections.

How to Raise an Objection Against the Provisional Allotment?
Candidates who spot any error in the allotment must act before the deadline. MCC has opened its grievance system only for a limited set of complaints.
Objections are accepted in three specific cases. These are a personal data mismatch, seat allocation under a wrong category or quota, and a wrong allotted course. General complaints about seat preference will not be entertained.
- Log in to the candidate portal on mcc.nic.in.
- Open the Candidate Grievances and Query Redressal System.
- Select the correct grievance category from the drop-down list.
- Upload valid supporting proof and submit before 3:59 PM on August 21.
What Should Allotted Candidates Do Next?
Allotted candidates must report at the assigned institute during the reporting window. They need to carry the downloaded allotment letter along with all original documents. The institute will verify records before confirming admission.
Required documents include the NEET UG 2026 scorecard, admit card, Class 10 and 12 mark sheets, and category certificate where applicable. A valid photo ID proof is also mandatory at the time of reporting.
Candidates who fail to report within the window will lose their allotted seat. Such vacated seats will be added back to the pool for Round 2 counselling.
The short grievance window is the only chance to fix personal or category errors before the final list. A wrong category tag today can push a candidate down the merit order in the final Round 1 allotment. Careful line-by-line checking before 3:59 PM is critical.
