MCC NEET UG 2026 Round 3 Choice Filling Begins; Check Steps to Fill Preferences

The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has opened the Round 3 choice filling window. The window is for the National Eligibility Entrance Test Undergraduate (NEET UG) 2026 counselling. Registered candidates can now log in at mcc.nic.in to enter their preferences.

Candidates must submit their preferred medical colleges and courses before the deadline. The choice locking step is mandatory for a valid Round 3 allotment. Unlocked choices will be auto-locked when the window closes.

What NEET UG 2026 Round 3 Covers

Round 3 covers the 15 percent All India Quota (AIQ) seats. It also covers seats in deemed and central universities. Seats at AFMC, ESIC, BHU, AMU, DU, and JIPMER are included. The round fills seats left vacant after Round 2 allotments.

Candidates who joined a Round 2 seat cannot upgrade in Round 3. Fresh candidates and those who resigned earlier can now participate. The updated seat matrix is available on the MCC portal for reference.

How to Fill Choices for NEET UG 2026 Round 3?

Candidates must complete Round 3 registration before filling choices. The choice filling module opens only for registered and fee-paid candidates. Follow the steps below carefully to submit preferences.

1. Visit the official portal at mcc.nic.in.
2. Click on the UG Medical Counselling link on the homepage.
3. Log in using the registered NEET UG credentials.
4. Open the Choice Filling and Locking tab from the dashboard.
5. View the list of participating colleges and courses.
6. Add preferred choices in the desired order of priority.
7. Rearrange, edit, or delete choices as required.
8. Click Save to store the entered choice list.
9. Lock the final choices before the closing time.
10. Download and print the locked choice list confirmation.

Documents to Keep Ready

Candidates should keep key documents ready during the counselling process. This helps avoid last-minute errors during registration and reporting.

• NEET UG 2026 admit card and scorecard
• Class 10 and Class 12 mark sheets and certificates
• Valid photo identity proof issued by the government
• Category certificate, where applicable, under the reserved category
• PwBD certificate, if applying under that category
• Passport-size photographs matching the admit card image
