Points to Remember Before Locking Options

Candidates should list multiple college choices in the option form. Adding fewer options reduces the chance of allotment. The system fills preferences according to merit and choice order.

Never leave the highest-priority choice out of the form. Also, verify course codes for each branch. A wrong code can lead to allotment in an unwanted course.

What Happens After CAP Round 3?

Round 3 is the last CAP round of the MHT CET 2026 cycle. Colleges will conduct institute-level vacancy rounds after Round 3 closes. These rounds fill seats that remain vacant after CAP.

Candidates who miss a seat in Round 3 must approach institutes directly. They must contact institutes before the state admission deadline.

Why This Matters

Round 3 is the final CAP round for MHT CET 2026 engineering admissions. Candidates who miss out lose access to central seat allotment. Their next option is institute-level vacancy rounds.
