The State Common Entrance Test Cell Maharashtra (CET Cell) has released the provisional vacancy list for the Centralised Admission Process (CAP) Round 3 of the Maharashtra Health and Technical Common Entrance Test (MHT CET) 2026 on its official portal at fe2026.mahacet.org. The list shows 28,132 first-year engineering seats vacant across 385 participating institutes in Maharashtra. Option entry for the final CAP round closes on August 22, 2026.
Candidates registered for CAP can now view the college-wise and course-wise vacancies. They must submit fresh option forms to participate in Round 3. This is the last CAP round of the MHT CET 2026 counselling cycle.

Who Can Participate in CAP Round 3?
Only candidates who registered for MHT CET CAP 2026 can take part. Fresh candidates cannot register at this stage. Those who accepted a Round 1 or Round 2 seat can also upgrade.

Points to Remember Before Locking Options
Candidates should list multiple college choices in the option form. Adding fewer options reduces the chance of allotment. The system fills preferences according to merit and choice order.

Seat Acceptance Fee for CAP Round 3
The seat acceptance fee depends on the candidate's earlier allotment status. The CET Cell has set higher fees for candidates retaining older seats. The full fee structure is given below.

Round 3 CAP Registration Fee
General category and outside-Maharashtra candidates pay Rs 1,300 as counselling fee. Reserved category candidates from Maharashtra and PwD applicants pay Rs 1,000. The CET Cell accepts payment only through online modes such as net banking, debit card, credit card and UPI.

Documents Required at Reporting?
Candidates must carry all original documents at the time of college reporting. Photocopies are needed for institute records. The list below covers the standard requirements.
