The State Common Entrance Test Cell, Maharashtra (CET Cell) has opened the Maharashtra Health and Technical Common Entrance Test (MHT CET) Centralised Admission Process (CAP) 2026 Round 3 option form submission window on the official portal at fe2026.mahacet.org. Candidates can submit and confirm their choices between August 20 and August 22, 2026. The third provisional seat allotment result will be declared on August 24, 2026.

Round 3 is the final CAP round for engineering and technology admissions in Maharashtra. Eligible candidates who remain unallotted or wish to upgrade their seat must fill fresh preferences within the three-day window.

Auto-Freeze Rule for Round 3

The CET Cell has issued a critical advisory for Round 3 candidates. As per the official notification, the first six preferences submitted in the option form will be auto-frozen. This means the top six choices cannot be altered or rejected after allotment.

Candidates must therefore rank only those colleges and branches they are genuinely willing to join in the top six slots. Lower-ranked preferences remain open to the usual freeze, slide, or float choice after allotment.

How to Fill the MHT CET CAP 2026 Round 3 Option Form?

Candidates can submit their choices by following the steps listed below.

1. Visit the official CAP portal at fe2026.mahacet.org.
2. Click on the candidate login link on the homepage.
3. Enter the registered application ID and password to log in.
4. Open the CAP Round 3 Option Form section on the dashboard.
5. Review the provisional vacancy list before selecting colleges.
6. Add and reorder preferred college and branch combinations.
7. Confirm the option form and save the acknowledgement copy.

Who Can Participate in Round 3?

Round 3 is open to eligible MHT CET 2026 qualified candidates who registered for CAP counselling. This includes candidates who remained unallotted in earlier rounds. It also includes those who rejected or did not accept their Round 2 seat.
