MHT CET MTech CAP 2026 Registration Extended to July 21

The State Common Entrance Test Cell Maharashtra (MahaCET) has issued a notice extending the MHT CET MTech Centralised Admission Process (CAP) 2026 registration deadline. Candidates can now register till July 21, 2026, up to 5 PM through the official portal, me2026.mahacet.org.

The document verification window will remain open till July 22, 2026, while the Provisional Merit List will now be released on July 24, 2026. Candidates must complete verification within this extended period.

The CAP process governs MTech admissions in participating Maharashtra government, aided, and unaided institutes. It uses the candidate's GATE score or MHT CET PG score for merit ranking.

What Are the Two Document Verification Modes?

MahaCET offers candidates two options for document verification. Both modes are equally valid for CAP participation. Applicants should pick the one that suits them best.

E-Scrutiny Mode: Candidates upload scanned documents online. Verification is conducted remotely without visiting any centre.
Physical Scrutiny Mode: Candidates visit an assigned scrutiny centre with original documents. Verification happens in person at a given time slot.

Applicants who spot errors after e-Scrutiny can submit corrections digitally. Those choosing the physical mode must carry all original certificates.

How to Complete the MHT CET MTech CAP 2026 Registration?
