NEHU PG Admission 2026 Reopens Against Vacant Seats; Check Last Date to Apply

The North-Eastern Hill University (NEHU) has reopened Postgraduate (PG) admissions for 2026. The application window covers vacant seats under Phase II and Phase III. Applications are being accepted through the official Samarth admission portal at nehucuet.samarth.edu.in/pg/.

The last date to submit online applications is August 24, 2026. The extension has been granted under the UGC Standard Operating Procedure (SOP). It applies to Central University vacant seats across the Shillong and Tura campuses.

The reopened admission round covers a wide range of master's and postgraduate programmes at NEHU. Eligible applicants can choose from academic, professional, and diploma courses.

Who Is Eligible to Apply?

Applicants seeking admission to master's programmes must have a valid CUET PG 2026 scorecard. Candidates applying for MBA admission can also use a valid MAT score instead.

Applicants for select PG Diploma programmes can apply through the non-CUET admission portal. Candidates must also satisfy the programme-specific and subject-specific eligibility requirements prescribed by the respective NEHU departments.

How to Apply for NEHU PG Admission 2026?

The NEHU PG 2026 application form is available online through the Samarth portal. Candidates should keep their scanned documents, qualifying exam scorecards, and payment details ready before beginning the application process.

1. Visit nehucuet.samarth.edu.in/pg/ or access the non-CUET admission portal through nehu.ac.in.
2. Register using a valid email ID and active mobile number.
3. Fill in the required personal, academic, CUET PG 2026, or MAT details.
4. Upload the required documents in the prescribed format and size.
5. Pay the application fee and submit the form before August 24, 2026.
