Earlier in the day, while delivering the inaugural speech for the conclave PM Narendra Modi said that instead of 'What to think', the New Education Policy stresses on 'How to think.'
He also highlighted that the NEP 2020 effort is discovery-based, discussion-based, and analysis based learning.
During the launch of guidelines, the Education minister said that the apprenticeship embedded degree program is in line with the NEP feature which emphasizes practical understanding rather than rote learning and learning-for-exams.
Furthermore, MoS Education Sanjay Dhotre expressed his views on the matter and said that the apprenticeship embedded degree programmes will play a crucial role in enhancing the employability of students after graduation.
The guidelines on the implementation of Internship Embedded Degree Programmes are one of the first to be released for implementation of various provisions of higher education in the National Education Policy 2020.
