National Institute of Open Schooling has released an important notice related to the On-demand examination 2020 (ODEs). As per the notice, students who wish to improve their score in March-April 2020 exams can book a seat for the on-demand exams.
The registration process for these exams have already started from September 25, Friday onwards. Students are advised to register without any delay as this is a one time opportunity to upgrade their performances. The ODEs will start from October 5, 2020, in offline mode.

To suit the students’ convenience, students can select the examination date as they want; there is no particular date to take the examination. The students who are giving the exam for enhancement of their average marks of March-April are exempted from paying the fees. However, others will have to pay the examination fee
The examination fee is INR 500 in total with an additional INR 200 for each subject that involves practicals. The examination will be carried out in various centres across the country. Students are given autonomy in choosing the examination centre while registering for the seat.

The test is a major risk for the students as the average marks scored in this attempt will be treated as final. If a student scores lesser or more marks than the March-April exam marks, then the average score of the latest exam will be treated as final.
NIOS is a National Board similar to ICSE and CBSE that targets to offer education to all segments of society that will improve literacy in the country.
