NTA Revises JEE Main 2026 Session 2 Dates

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has updated the schedule for the JEE Main 2026 Session 2 exam, now set to take place from April 2 to April 9, 2026, instead of the earlier April 1–10 window.

Meanwhile, Session 1 remains scheduled as planned, running from January 21 to January 30, 2026. Candidates can already apply for Session 1 through the official portal at jeemain.nta.nic.in. In addition to the date revision, NTA has introduced several changes in the application process, particularly in document-upload requirements.

As per the revised schedule, JEE Main 2026 Session 2 will now be conducted from April 2 to April 9, 2026, instead of the earlier April 1–10 window, while Session 1 remains unchanged from January 21 to 30, 2026.

The Session 1 application process is now live on jeemain.nta.nic.in, and candidates must complete registration by November 27, 2025. Along with the schedule update, NTA has introduced significant changes to the application process, including mandatory live webcam photograph upload in addition to the scanned photo.

Updated file-size rules also apply, signature (10–100 KB), Class 10 marks-sheet (50–300 KB), identity proof (10–200 KB) for non-Aadhaar verification cases, and PwD/UDID certificate PDF (50–300 KB).

Applicants must also keep their Class 10 certificate, valid ID proof, photograph, signature, and user ID (if applicable) ready. Students are advised to follow the revised specifications strictly to avoid application rejection and continue monitoring the portal for city-intimation and admit-card updates.
