New Delhi: The Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS) has extended the last date of the registration for lateral entry students for Class 9 and Class 11 for the academic year 2024. Candidates will be able to apply for JNVST Class 9, 11 lateral entry till November 7 at the official website, navodaya.gov.in.

The original deadline for NVS lateral entry admissions was October 31, but it has now been extended for 7 days. The NVS Class 9 and 11 lateral entry admission tests are scheduled for February 10.

Eligibility for the Class 11 lateral entry selection test is limited to students currently in Class 10 during the 2023 January to December session or the April 2023 to March 2024 session. Those who completed their Class 10 exams before the 2023-24 academic session are not eligible.

Applicants must upload their photograph, signature, and parent's signature in jpg or jpeg format, with file sizes ranging from 10kb to 100kb. As per NVS age limit criteria, students' birthdates should fall between June 1, 2007, and July 31, 2009, inclusive of both days.

The NVS lateral entry test is scheduled to last for 2 hours and 30 minutes, commencing at 11 AM and concluding at 1:30 PM. It will consist of five sections featuring solely objective-type questions. An additional 15 minutes will be allotted for candidates to read the instructions and questions, running from 10:45 AM to 11 AM. Differently-abled students will receive an extra 50 minutes of time, as specified.
