The Directorate of Higher Education, DHE, has announced that the new academic session for Odisha colleges will commence from October 1, 2020, for the first-year undergraduate students and first-semester post-graduate students.
Moreover, the department has also informed that offline mode will be used for the examination of the final-year students.
The examinations for UG first- and second-year, PG second semester, and other regular exams of various Universities of Odisha will only be conducted only after the situation normalizes.
'During the meeting, the emphasis was on maintaining social distancing. The department asked all the universities and higher education institutions about the plans of exams" said the registrar of DAVV, Anil Sharma who attended the meeting as a representative of the university.
The Universities had been asked about their present situation and the university shared the details of conducting the remaining examinations of final year students, he added.
The academic session for the second year/semester students of undergraduate courses and postgraduate students will begin from September 1.
The department has further asked the colleges and institutions about the infrastructural plans so as to maintain social distancing and plans of sanitization work.
