CHANDIGARH: Recently, Panjab University has increased the 100% late admission fee for all the PG courses under the instructions of College Principal and Vice-Chancellor. Earlier the late fee admission was INR 540 and now doubled up to INR 1,000.
On 29 September 2020, Panjab University announced the revised fee along with the Academic Calendar of 20-21 for the PG courses. Sources mention that the notice was not proposed previously and was approved solely by the Vice-Chancellor in the meeting.
As per the shared details, the late fee with the permission of the college principal will be Rs 1,000 instead of the old Rs 540 and Rs 3,000 instead of Rs 2,640 in the last session with the permission of the VC.

Panjab University (PU) has increased the late admission fee for Post Graduation courses by 100 percent in cases of permission of the department chairperson and by 25 percent in cases of permission of the Vice-Chancellor for the Academic Year 2020-21.
The Admission Committee had no idea about the changes. On enquiring with the Superiors, the Notice was already released on the official Website along with the Academic Calendar 20-21.
The college principals are inquiring with the authorities, how the proposal was presented and approved in the committee. Meanwhile, the university has released the Academic calendar for the 20-21 session on 30 September 2020 for the Post Graduate programs offered in the field of Arts, Science, Commerce, and colleges affiliated with Panjab University.
Earlier, Panjab University had extended its last date for submitting the application form and then finally released a notice over the official site to submit the online application forms on 30 September. Candidates need to apply online via the official website of Panjab University. To be eligible for the Post Graduate course, the candiates need to appear for PU CET 2020 Examinations. This test is conducted by Panjab University itself.
To apply for the test, candidates are required to register themselves and fill out the online application form, Once completed, submit the form for admissions.
