Panjab University has released the tentative merit list for 5-year BA LLB and BCom LLB courses. Candidates can raise objections at uglaw@pu.ac.in till July 3, 2026. The provisional list will be out on July 7.
Panjab University (PU) has released the tentative merit list for its five-year integrated undergraduate law courses on the official portal at uglaw.puchd.ac.in. The list covers the Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Laws (BA LLB) and Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Laws (BCom LLB) programmes for the 2026-27 session.
Candidates who find any discrepancy in their ranking can raise objections by writing to uglaw@pu.ac.in. The objection window is open on July 2 and July 3, 2026. The provisional merit list, which will be prepared after reviewing these objections, is scheduled for release on the evening of July 7, 2026.

The BA LLB merit list has been prepared for the three Panjab University campuses at Chandigarh, Hoshiarpur, and Ludhiana. The BCom LLB merit list applies to the Chandigarh campus. Both programmes are five-year integrated law degrees offered by the university.

The university has released category-wise merit lists for both programmes. Candidates should check the list corresponding to the category they applied under.

The merit list for the sports category has not been released yet. The university has stated that it will be uploaded after the gradation is received from the Sports Department. Sports and NRI candidates were required to submit documents to the designated offices by June 17, 2026.

How to Check the PU UG Law 2026 Tentative Merit List?
Candidates can follow the steps below to view the tentative merit list on the official website.
- Visit the official portal at uglaw.puchd.ac.in.
- Click on the Merit List tab on the homepage.
- Select the relevant course, either BA LLB or BCom LLB.
- Open the category-wise PDF that applies to you.
- Search for your name, application number, and rank.
- Download the merit list and save a copy for records.
How to Raise an Objection Against the Merit List?
Candidates who spot an error in their category, marks, or rank must act within the two-day window. Objections are accepted only through email and only until July 3, 2026.
- Draft an email addressed to uglaw@pu.ac.in.
- Mention your name, application number, category, and course applied for.
- State the specific error in the tentative merit list.
- Attach scanned copies of supporting documents as proof.
- Send the email before the deadline of July 3, 2026.
Objections received after July 3, 2026 will not be considered. The revised list will be reflected in the provisional merit list on July 7, 2026.
PU UG Law Admission 2026 Timeline
The admission process for the five-year law courses began earlier this year. The application forms were released on May 20, 2026. The online submission window closed on June 14, 2026, and hard copies were accepted till 4 pm on June 17, 2026.
