As per the recent announcement made by the CM of Delhi, Arvind Kejriwal, schools won’t reopen for the students in Delhi. Schools were shut down in March 2020 due to the pandemic.
The decision was made after 2500 parents had sent a representation to the chief minister asking to not reopen schools in Delhi to ensure the safety of students. The announcement came as a clarification to the rumour which said that schools will be reopening soon.
Earlier it was announced that the schools will remain closed till October 31, 2020. However, after the new announcement by CM, no dates about reopening have been declared yet.

According to the Unlock guidelines that were issued by the centre, restrictions were being released gradually. The centre had asked the states to make a decision about the reopening of schools on the basis of the situation prevalent in the state.
With respect to the same, some states re-opened schools, especially for Std. 10th and 12th. However, the Delhi government had chosen to not reopen any institute until it is safe for the health of the students.
