October 24, 2020: The Central Board of Secondary (CBSE) begins the preparations of CBSE Board Exam 2021 for classes 10th and 12th. Keeping in mind the COVID-19 pandemic, the CBSE Board is now making strategies to conduct exams while following the necessary safety precautions.
The Central Board of Secondary (CBSE) is now collecting the list of registered candidates of class 10th and 12th board examinations. List of exam centers and other details are also being collected by the exam authority
CBCS notified schools that the last date to fill and complete the examination form for Board Examination 2021 of Class 10th and 12th is October 31, 2020.
Explaining the preparations for CBSE 2021 board examination, Mr. Jha, the Handler of CBSE Activities in Schools said," CBSE collects information from the schools in regards to the infrastructure available for using that school as an exam center.
“The board usually collects that information in the month of October. The formats have been issued for this year and the compilation of the lists would begin shortly from across the country” he further added.

CBSE Board Exams 2021: Responses of Teachers and Parents on Schools Reopening
Due to the coronavirus pandemic and nation lockdown, concerns have been shown over the CBSE Board Examination 2021. Parents of CBSE students have shown different opinions as the students showed their unwillingness to attend physical classes just yet.
On the other hand, the Central Government has given permission to open schools for physical classes in states in a staggered manner. The online classes will continue for students who wish to take classes from home.
Referring to schools reopening, a teacher of Gurgaon school, Ms. Radhika said,''We have sent out forms to parents to understand their willingness in regards reopening of the schools and resuming regular classes. The response so far has been heavily against the reopening of the schools!”
Responses against the school reopening have also been reported from various schools of Noida. Mrs. Meenakshi, the teacher of the affiliated school stated that the school is still counting the online classes for students.
She further added in her comment, As for the issues of students, teachers have started coming to schools for doubt clearing sessions. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, many students still do not wish to attend physical classes just yet.

CBSE Board Exams 2021: Exam May Conduct in May 2020, Syllabus to Reduce by 50%
Amidst the COVID-19 Pandemic and nation lockdown, schools in the country have been shut for more than 7 months so far. With the increasing number of Coronavirus infections in the country, doubts have been raised for the CBSE board 2021 Examination for Class 10th and 12th.
In accordance with the comment made by ICSE and CBSE, two national-level examinations may postpone for more than 45 to 60 days. However, no official decision has been made in the favour of postponing the examination.
Officials stated that there is a possibility that the board will consider postponing the examination until May 2020. On the other hand, the Delhi Government has requested the CBSE Board to consider reducing the syllabus to 50 percent and postpone the board examination till May 2020.

In accordance with Health Minister Standard Operating Procedure SOPs guidelines, many schools have started the commencement of doubt clearing sessions for Classes 12th and 11th, while some intend to keep schools closed until unless the situation gets better.
As per the official Statement made by Delhi Government to CBSE, "In order to provide students with a reasonable time to study in person in schools, it is requested that the on-going academic session be extended beyond March and CBSE board exams be conducted not before May 2021. Consequently, the next academic session may commence from July 2021,".
Earlier, in October, the CBSE had also released sample question papers for Class 10th and 12th students for exam preparation.
CBSE has not made any official statement regarding postponing the examination till May 2020. The exam schedule of the CBSE Board Examination is more likely to be released after the Diwali festival.
